Living my best life.

Hello!

It’s been a while.

I haven’t been posting so much lately cause I’ve just been so busy! This post is going to be an update on what I’ve been doing and hopefully this post comes across as encouraging /motivational to some of you readers 🙂

So recently I decided to make a lifestyle change and it honestly has been one of the best decisions I have made. Over the past few weeks I was able to just focus on myself and what I wanted out of this life. This is something that I’ve always wanted to do and I have tried in the past but never stuck with it. I lacked the right motivation.

But after really focusing on myself, I found the determination to make a change.

It’s definitely hard to break out of your usual routine or bad habits but once you take the steps to be better for yourself, life presents you with such self satisfaction.

I hired a fitness coach. (Something that I’ve been wanting to do for a very, very long time). I know that I was unhappy with my appearance for years but that alone wasn’t enough motivation for myself. What guided me this time was setting a goal and discussing it with my coach. It’s tough but I now understand better on the whole process of gaining weight and building muscle. It takes straight self discipline to make a difference. Especially when learning how much you should eat and how much you should work out to see progress.

I’ve also been very busy with film projects for school. I finished my GE’s earlier in the year and unfortunately was denied acceptance to a Cal State. That struck a nerve with me. I’ve tried so hard and put in so much time to get out of a community college and get my foot in the door of my career. But not all setbacks should be discouraging. I’m currently attending another community college for a year to raise up my GPA. This time around, I get to take core classes that help with my major. (Film Production). I always knew that film production was what I wanted to do. But I didn’t know what exactly. After taking courses and certificate classes, I found what was more interesting to me and that was cinematography. We’ve been assigned group projects in class and I get so excited working with like minded colleagues and learning about so many different resources to produce a great film. It definitely takes a lot of time to get everything done from the script, casting, location and shooting but the experience is priceless.

I’ve also been working at getting people to know that I do photography as well. I have booked about four shoots so far for the holidays and I’m really excited to perfect my craft. If you’re in the Southern California location and need photo’s done at a really great rate, send me an email! I’d be glad to work with you.

Working full time Monday thru Friday and having school at night with side projects such as filming and photography on the weekends is tough but in the end, I know it will all be worth it.

If you feel unmotivated or undetermined, I hope this post acts as a reflection. I know the struggle it takes to make a difference in your life but trust me when I say that all it takes is the right motivation and the determination to follow through with it. I’m not saying that my life is perfect right now, because it’s not. But I am working on it and you can too. If you feel overwhelmed or stressed at times, try to get your self a daily planner. Write down what you need to get done and check them off as you go. I still stress of course but having a planner and getting what needs to get done is so refreshing. Find a hobby, make a change, do more of what makes you happy. I know that now. If you know you have a bad habit, try to focus on breaking that first. I know change is scary but don’t let that fear affect you. You don’t want to look back years from now and wish things were different if only you had tried more beforehand. As of right now, I am genuinely happy and that is happiness that I found on my own. I will no longer let anyone or anything deter me from my goals or my happiness. I’m just going to do me.

I commend you if you made it this far in my post! And thank you to those who believe in me. Your support means a lot.

Thanks for reading, now go and make life your bitch. 😉
